Yesterday the Mothers March for Retarded Citizens kicked off at the Corry Campus Dr Gertrude A Barber Center 151 Maple Ave Corry. Attendees included Corry Erie and area officials and staff as plans for the May Mothers March were outlined.
Birdie Tells Us Ladies Auxiliary holds regular session Monday at 8 30 p.m. at Columbus fire hall. Corry Area High School class of 1956 invites alumni to meeting March 1 at 7 p.m. at Fred Jensen home for 20th anniversary reunion planning. Clymer Church Women United marks World Day of Prayer Friday at North Clymer UMC with 2 p.m. program led by Joyce Pearson of Busti and church participation by local units. Tri County Council of the American Legion Auxiliary meets March 10 at Franklin Post 476 with speakers Clark Buubaugh and Jack Gunter. Dutch treat dinner March 5 reservations due. May 1 fundraising in Albion for district leaders.
Two four year olds Buddy Ben son and David Patterson celebrate their first birthdays tomorrow. Born February 29 1972 they missed four leap year birthdays and will be honored at family dinners at their Corry homes. Buddy Benson 112 East Church Corry and David Patterson 328 Concord Corry are both Corry Memorial Hospital births.
The Corry Country Club Women’s Association, led by President Mary Alice Hammond, met at her home to map a season of events. Coordinators Peg Seitz and Carol Jordan set dates for tournaments, a Presidents Cup, club championship, member guest day, and a May 18 start for official ladies day golf.
Mrs Sara Aultz of McVeytown announces the engagement of her daughter Bonnie Aultz to Ken Dundon of Corry. Both are 1973 graduates, with 1975 business center diplomas. Bonnie works as a secretary in Erie and Ken in cost accounting at Meadow Brook Dairy. The wedding date is set for June 19, 1976.
