Sherman woman dies from kerosene blast fire
Mrs Paul Thiem 52 of Sherman died in Corry hospital after burns from an early afternoon kerosene oil explosion at her home. The house was largely destroyed, worth about 3000 dollars, as neighbors aided and alarms spread. The widow mother of eight suffered fatal burns while hastening a fire.

Barn Fire Volatile Blaze Near Union City
A large barn owned by O. Shepard northeast of Union City on the Roosevelt highway was destroyed by a fire caused by defective wiring. The blaze threatened nearby structures and drew residents from the vicinity after 0 o'clock last night with the reflection visible from the area. The barn stood opposite the Union City fish hatchery.

Jury Selected For Jensen Death Inquest
