Public hearings were ordered by the Human Relations Commission to speed desegregation in three western Pennsylvania communities. Hearings will cover Uniontown New Castle and New Kensington Arnold school boards and may occur this spring. Executive director Homer C. Floyd said Uniontown’s open enrollment plan falls short of required desegregation.
In a morning report Corry Memorial Hospital lists admitted patients including Mrs. August Meisher and several from Corry and Spartansburg areas. Discharges include Mrs. Harold Payer and daughter Traci Marie and others from Corry Clymer and Edna. Tax case indicts McKean grocer Ralph E. Johnson for income tax evasion in 1964 48.
