Young suspect sought for stolen prescription blanks

Corry area druggists warned of a young man likely in possession of stolen prescription blanks. Police say the youth, 16 to 18, bought drugs at Meadville Eckerd with forged blanks made out for amphetamines, fled when a officer entered. Escape convict’s 500-mile flight ends in Fullerton aid

Fullerton, Calif. AP report details Jimmy Dee Harvey a 24 year old convict who escaped from San Quentin took four hostages then raced south with a stolen car. He was pursued to Fullerton where he was captured after being unarmed. Hostages were unharmed and returned to Marin County for charges of kidnapping.

Corry and Spartansburg youth amid Erie County jail sentences

A Corry youth and a Spartansburg man began serving Erie County court sentences. Dennis M. Consolo, 18, pled guilty to burglary and larceny for breaking into Crestline Inc. on October 28 and stealing $60, receiving a six month term plus fines and probation. Max W. Proctor, alias Eric Proctor, RD 1 Spartansburg, got 23 months and $200 fine for drunk driving, with sentence suspended on some charges. Alta L. May pled guilty to a five to six month period and was fined $100 plus costs. Workers at Local 12050 prepared to vote on a tentative contract ending a week-long strike at Equitable Gas Co.

Too Early To Shop Car Crash injures no one

Albert M Wood of 469 East South street arrived at Taylor's Jewelry Store just before opening. Thaddeus L Czech 35, of 22344 Worth street drove north on Spring street into an intersection and struck Wood's westbound car sending it onto a sidewalk near the store. Police estimate Czech car damage at 180 dollars and Wood's at 400 dollars.
