The Overcomers Celebrate First Year Of CHEER Support
The Overcomers mark a milestone as CHEER grows from zero funds to community backing. Mrs Tarbell and Mrs Messenger attend the President's Committee for the Handicapped meeting in Washington and plan to return in April. CHEER gains diverse organizational support and plans include a handicapped workshop, job placement, home sawing, a blind bowling league, and bi monthly gatherings. Members receive ecards and pins, proving they belong to the Overcomers and the wider community.
