Dallas AP reports the fourth juror for the Jack Ruby murder trial was Luther Dickerson 97 a chemical firm vice president who testified he did not see the original or any rebroadcast of the Oswald killing. Dickerson married with two sons said he was away when Oswald was killed and had not discussed the shooting with anyone. Singer testifies he knew Sinatra kidnapping plan months before

In Los Angeles a rock singer testified he learned of the Frank Sinatra kidnapping plot about two months before the abduction. He later recanted, admitting he had told stories but still acknowledged some involvement and repayment of funds. Third Man In Theft Of Power Held In Center Ville Case

James Floyd Sipes 23 arraigned before Justice of the Peace Walter Domke in Center villeon burglary theft of a power chain saw from Merwin Pro cess farm. Sparta LeBoeuf To Battle State For Self Contained District

Sparta and LeBoeuf school boards meet to sign an appeal asking the State Council of Basic Education to overturn the Erie County plan that places Sparta in the Corry Jointure. Leaving Scene Of Crash Puts Driver In Jail

Jamestown youth Bruce VanGuilder, 19, was jailed 30 days to one year in Crawford County jail and fined 100 dollars plus costs for leaving the scene of an accident. The charge, filed by state police from the Corry substation, stemmed from a December 5, 1969 crash one mile north of Titusville on Route 8. Judge P. Richard Thomas imposed the sentence after VanGuilder pleaded guilty.

Plane crash over Lake Pontchartrain claims 56 aboard

A four engine jetliner carrying 56 people from Mexico City to New York disappeared minutes after takeoff from New Orleans and crashed in Lake Pontchartrain. Hand transplant from corpse performed in Ecuador

An Ecuadorian sailor received a hand transplant from a deceased donor on February 13 in Guayaquil.
