A city health report notes more contagious disease cases in the second ward on Wayne Street and a new case in the first ward. Two additional cases of meningitis have been reported this week, with the state health commissioner urging swift action and recalling orders for smallpox scrutiny.
Tonight the Knights of Pythian celebrate the Golden Jubilee of their founding with an open home and tour of the rooms at the Third Door of the Wey Building. A six o'clock dinner and a program from 9 to 11 precede a dance. About two hundred invitations have been issued for friends and members.

A Toland bound passenger train no 60 derailed east of Hope this morning. The engine crew and three passengers were brought to the hospital with injuries. The single cars and all coaches were wrecked and the Pullman car detached. The incident is reported by United Press.

In Valleys Ny on February 11 crowds were turned away at the Buffum murder trial as Prosecutor Cole introduced witness testimony. Mrs Buffum appeared worried as the case moved toward closure with Judge Cole predicting the defense would rest by Friday and the verdict could come soon.
