Injuries in Farm Accident Fatal To Dayton Snapp
Dayton Snapp age 59 died at Hammett Hospital Erie at noon Sunday from injuries suffered on a farm near Corry last Tuesday. He was crushed when a team loading logs shifted, paralyzing one side and causing multiple serious wounds. Survived by widow, daughter Zepha Mays of Brie, his mother Isabelle Snapp, three brothers Victor Wesleyville Glenn Bradford R C Snapp Carter Hill, and three sisters Mrs C W Wetherbee Spartansburg Mrs George Lafferty Weeleyville Mrs Ben Mays Plattsburg N Y. Body to North East funeral parlors with burial planned in Spartansburg.

In Granite Oklahoma on February 18 a mass escape from a state reformatory led to a violent clash. Convicts shot a guard named Pate Jones 60 at the watch tower as deputies and officers using bloodhounds vehicles and an airplane hunted 18 escapees. Leader Maloy Kuykendall 21 stirred the breakout as guards exchanged fire killing five inmates and halting the escape with continued aerial patrols and a search of the area surrounding Lone Wolf and nearby farms.

The first legal step in Bruno Richard Hauptmann's appeal from the death sentence will be made today or tomorrow.
