Sweetheart Ball Candidates Competing for the Title
Tomorrow night the Sweetheart Ball awards the sweetheart crown to Miss Dixie Carter and Miss Betty Skalos. Carter, 17, daughter of Mrs. Inez Carter, has chorus and Chamber Singers roles and will be escorted by Steve Heintz. Skalos, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Skalos, is a Corry Area High senior, assistant librarian, Senior Tri-Hi-Y member, and works at Edinboro College’s Ghering Health Center, with Henry McKinsey as her escort. The event benefits the WOTM Nurses Scholarship Fund, runs 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at the Moose Lodge, and tickets are $3 per couple. Music by Allan Hasbrouck and The Goldentones.
