Corry area youth pleads guilty in dual Erie County cases

An 18 year old Dennis C Redenz pled guilty in Erie County court to larceny and cemetery vandalism. He was fined 200 dollars and 100 dollars with jail terms of one year and 11 months respectively. The incidents involve gas theft from Rogers Structural Steel and damage at Pine Grove Cemetery. Two accomplices faced charges later dismissed or pending and juveniles face probation or restitution. The district attorney and police plan to refile cases as needed.

Honest Man Returns $183000 to Brink's in Elmhurst

Norman Budwit a 35 year old $3.50 an hour clerk found 183000 mostly cash and some checks after a truck door was left open in Elmhurst. Guards Use Shotguns as Raiford Prisoners Storm Fence

At Raiford State Prison in Florida about 600 inmates massed on the recreation field while a hunger strike at the nearby maximum security unit prompted guards to fire shotguns to halt the assault on the fence. Twenty prisoners were wounded and 23 more injured in the scramble, with most treated for superficial wounds.
