Lipscomb of the American Newspaper Publishers Association said at a luncheon that advertising revenue reached 3.517 billion dollars in 1968, a 10 percent gain over 1958, with newspapers’ share rising from 31 to 31.2 percent. He noted total media advertising exceeded 11 billion dollars and that 219 papers in 1958 turned down nearly nine million dollars of ads not up to standard.

Columbus Fire Loss In 1959 Hit 14800

Columbus fire records show total fire loss for 1959 amounting to 1400 dollars with 111,000 of this recorded for Elmview Dairy on Columbus-Lottsville road. The department responded to four building fires, five grass fires, three car fires, and two chimney fires and extended nonfireline drills in Warren. Minor Route 6 crash injures no one

Corry State Police investigated a minor two car crash on Route 6 yesterday afternoon at 3:45 PM. Harold Crawford, 21, of Corry backed into his drive on the north side, crossing into oncoming traffic. George Graham of Erle Crawford could not clear the road. both vehicles sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported. Possible charges are pending.
