Eugene J. Teachout 34, a United States Navy electrician's mate first class, died in Ridgway likely from exposure after being found in Pennsylvania railroad yards. Sharon Pennsylvania February 10 police identified the mutilated body of a man killed by a passenger train near Greenville as Pete Wagen a 3 year old from New York City. The body was recognized by beard visible when viewed at Sharon and Greenville police stations after several nights in custody prior to death Saturday.

Philadelphia February 10 Frame Knox publisher of the Chicago Daily News said government waste could be stopped by making the people tax conscious. He, a Republican presidential candidate, spoke before the Republican Club of Pennsylvania and attacked Roosevelt era promises and cited attacks in the dark by the Roosevelt administration.
In a Main Street beer hall clash two people Ralph Warren and Hattie Coley faced assault and battery charges with Warren injured, while Earl Damon pressed the case. A pending hearing looms for proprietor charges as police seek to close the venue amid a spate of disturbances. Jerome Morford, 70, a blind musician famed locally for organ and violin, died in Shinron.
