Hit and Run Driver Sought After Lottsville Crash

Warren County police seek a Corry man after Miss Maribelle Jones 15 was struck near Lottsville by a fast moving car. She suffered a broken arm head injuries and possible eye damage and is unconscious at Warren General Hospital. Two witnesses recorded a license number 872 850 and police pursue the owner as the driver reportedly refused aid and hospital transport.

G Olmsted of Ludlow spoke at a Muni ipa Wilding meeting urging a complete reorganization of Ludlow and Warren county Boy Scout troops. He presented data from Warren county and said funds for the new setup are being subscribed and all city troops will operate on a solid basis. Birger Under Heavy Guard Near Harrisburg Jail Date

United Press reports gangster Charlie Birger is jailed in Saline County at Harrisburg after arrest on a murder warrant. He is expected to appear near Carbondale on a habeas corpus writ, his first public appearance since testifying in Quincy last week at the Shelton brothers trial. The Shelton brothers remain at Leavenworth serving 25 years for mail robbery. Birger’s transfer to a Marion or Williamson county jail was denied by Sheriff Coleman.
