U S Ambassador Takes to Air

United States Ambassador Myron Herrick left for London today by plane from Paris. An inbound passenger plane believed carrying Herrick was forced to land at Lympne airfield, passengers moved to Folkestone. Storms and shipwrecks disrupted the English Channel as vessels faced peril. Mrs Roy Merton of Erie arrived for a weekend visit with her mother in Liberty Street.

Five held for murder of former Kane man

Honor Awards Given Pupils at Junior High

Nine pupils at the Junior High received honor awards at a morning ceremony attended by parents, Kiwanis and Rotary guests. The five point criteria covered scholarship, citizenship, character, health and school activities. Roberts to Build Modern Inn at Findley Lake
