A grandmother, mother, and her child were found murdered in their Salamanca, New York home on Atlantia Street. The bodies showed brutal head wounds from a heavy hammer. a boarding house woman is missing and suspected. Autopsies and an inquest were planned for the day.
Two Chinese inmates, Hing and Sue Dock, were executed at Sing Sing prison for the killing of a rival tong member in New York. They were the first Chinamen to receive the death penalty in New York state.
Officer Merritt questioned a stranger named Martin who was held for stealing a coat from a wire room at the K P Hall. Coat owner Miss Eitel Haight and witness Martin appeared before the grand jury.
