Washington AP reports the Navy secretly put a solar X ray monitoring satellite into orbit, piggybacking on another craft to track the sun as it enters a two year period of rest in its 11 year cycle. Atlanta attorney A T Walden, 78, longtime civil rights activist and son of slaves, was sworn in yesterday as an alternate judge in the Atlanta Traffic and Recorders Court. He graduated from Michigan State University Law School and becomes Atlanta's first Negro judge since Reconstruction.
