Brilliant Ball Given by Elks Charities Event

The Carry Lodge Elks annual charity ball drew over sixty couples, mostly members and spouses, at the club ballroom starting at nine with Easter Orchestra. Midnight supper followed in the basement dining room. The event lasted past 3 AM, attracting members and guests, including out-of-town friends, and was hailed as a splendid success.

Celebrated 60th Wedding Anniversary

On Monday the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Manger was celebrated at the home of their daughter Mrs W M Moffit on R D No 4. A noon turkey dinner followed by a pleasant social time. The couple received many gifts from friends and relatives including some from Jamestown NY. Relatives from afar included Mr and Mrs J A Manger and daughter Marion of Apmostown NY.
