Former Governor Pennypacker heads the commission for the unexpired term of Judge Ewing, with other members’ terms extended. The Wlutiron Building a two story frame business block in Franklin's business section was destroyed by a fire started by an open gas jet. John Dick and family, residents above the grocery store, were awakened by an infant's cry and escaped as smoke filled the rooms. Firemen fought the blaze until morning, with three gas explosions during the blaze. Estimated loss over $10,000, about half insured.

Reunion of Seven High School Classes Draws Large Local Attendance
Seven former graduating classes held reunions at hostels around the city then united at Knights of Pythias Hall for a combined Alma mater celebration. Assault case heard charges leveled at Prank Lane
William Spencer testified yesterday in an assault case before Alderman Porter of the Fourth Ward. Prank Lane was arrested after allegedly striking Spencer in the face. Lane paid a $10 fine and all court costs, with a jail sentence suspended. an agreement for payment was made and Lane was released by the alderman.
