Poor Judgment Cited Jury Clears Doctor In Death
In Welland Ontario a five member jury found Dr Leon did not commit crime over Roy Carpenter’s death noting lack of foresight rather than criminal conduct. They ruled Carpenter died of uremia October 2 and rejected the theory a surgical cap caused death after exhumation and post mortem. The verdict cited the doctor’s failure to reveal an operation and mistakenly stating an autopsy was performed, but found no criminal fault.
