More than fifty children from the Corry Overcomers Club gathered at Emmanuel Episcopal Church for their annual Christmas party. The event, sponsored by Corry Women of the Moose and led by Mrs. Marlyn Jukes and Mrs Inez Carter, featured Santa Claus with Charléa VanTassel and Donald Carpe representing Moose and men’s lodge members. Miss Diane Sawyer performed as ventriloquist, Raymond Gathers filmed the party, and gifts were wrapped by Moose and women's lodge volunteers. Refreshments were homemade cookies and soft drinks supplied by South Side Beverage Company, with Mrs Alfred VanDrejar playing piano for folk dancing.
