Sidna Allen pleads guilty to murder in the second degree and receives 15 years. Combined with prior sentences, he faces a total of 36 years for the courthouse tragedy. Wesley Tawarda Edwards also pleads guilty to related indictments and gets 27 years. The case involves Floyd Allen and son and indictments tied to Sheriff Lewis Webb’s murder.
Floyd Allen and his son Claude Swanson Allen, leaders in Carroll County, were granted a second respite until January 17. Governor Minn held two conferences with counsel for the condemned men who presented new evidence said to reframe the Hillville court room tragedy of March 14.
The Geiger block on North Center Street houses the Paver store which is being enlarged with a rear addition by contractor Sandburg.
