Warren National Bank Offers 4 Percent Interest on Deposits

The Warren National Bank promotes banking by mail with a 4 percent interest rate in its Interest Department. Greeks and Turks clash in naval battle before peace talks

Special dispatches from Constantinople say a nightlong naval clash between Greek and Turkish forces left heavy losses on both sides. Greek forces reportedly gained ground near the city of Janina after days of fighting, with Turkish forces pushed toward Janina’s approach, and surrender appeared imminent. Delegates to the peace conference arrived in London as Bulgarian, Turkish, Serbian, and Greek delegates took positions around the city.

In East Toronto two women fought near Eightys AfiKtreet and Columbus Avenue. Mrs. Catherine Harbeson and Mrs. Helen Renner struggled for a .38 revolver amid a crowd. Harbeson fired twice but missed. Renner wrestled the weapon, and the pair fled into the street. The weapon changed hands amid confusion as a taxi drove off.

Spectacular Pittsburg blaze injures firemen rescuing tenants

A four story apartment known as the library burned in Pittsburgh on December 13. Fire crews saved more than 210 tenants, with several dragged from windows and others injured by a falling cornice. The $200,000 loss affected residents' personal property and many women were rescued from the fourth story.
