Beaverdam and Corry News and Social Updates
A long list of local visitors and departures features Kenneth and Ruthann Stutzman planning to return to Houston after a two week stay with Ruthann's mother Lena Halfast and Kenneth's parents in Corry. Elaine Lang from Cleveland visits relatives here and Jackie Jackson plans a short Ohio stay before school, while Robert Brown and his wife Mary depart with son Robert Jr. for Phoenix after a Corry visit. A bevy of social events follows including a stork shower for Mrs Jerry Proctor, Club 15 birthday gifts for Mrs Harry Burton, and a Howell bridge night at the Corry Motor Inn. An art exhibit by Daniel Putnam Brinley opens at Hemingway Galleries in Jamestown, with additional works shown by Gerald Hambleton. A candle tip, a quote by Edmund Burke, and details of upcoming district meetings and officer dinners round out the local items. A double ring wedding in Columbus unites Kathleen Thompson and Sgt. Kenneth Ferry with plans for a reception in Corry.
