A three year old, Robert Wallace, son of Mr and Mrs Clarence Wallace, died after darting into traffic in front of a milk truck driven by William Klenke in West Pleasant area. The driver, questioned by police, said the child ran from a store and crossed the road as he slowed. the right front wheel crushed him. No charges were filed. the driver was shaken, and the family mourns two sisters Martha Ann and Marilyn.

Police said her husband, a former Wilkinsburg officer, slashed himself and will undergo a sanity test. an inquest was ordered.
