Former Corry man found with mortal wound
John Lombard son of Mrs Della Lombard of Third avenue was found early this morning near Oil City with a revolver wound in his right temple, apparently self inflicted. He was unconscious along the Pennsylvania Railroad tracks near Eagle Rock about eight miles from Oil City and was rushed to Oil City hospital in critical condition. A .22 caliber revolver with one shell discharged was found nearby. Lombard, a telegraph operator and World War I veteran, had been in weakened health and in veterans hospitals, with family members traveling to Oil City after word reached Corry.
