Oppose Hospital Bonding Plan in Erie County

The Erie County Press Association gathered at the Reed House on Saturday to reaffirm unanimous opposition to bonding Erie County for 350000 to build a new TB hospital as proposed by county commissioners. Editors insist voters agreed in 1920 that costs would not exceed 75000 and that the facility would be at the county home site near Girard. They contend the current proposal would cost 360000 and could rise to about 500000 if built at alternative sites, a cost voters would not have approved.
