Death Rays May Advance Brain Study
WaonINGLON AP reports that killings of 10 monkeys by a device emitting ultra high frequency radio waves may open paths in brain disease research. Dr. Pearce Bailey notes no human hazard from ordinary radio and suggests brain cell disturbances from radiation rather than heat. Potential reversible effects on the brain stem could inform future testing under specific conditions.

Economic war resolves through shared sacrifice and reform
The writer argues monopolies raise prices or cut jobs, urging advance timing before price hikes or layoffs, optional retirements at 65, a 36 hour work week, more college for youth, and adherence to a Golden Rule. He frames unemployment as a social issue tied to liquor and national “coid wars” with employers, workers, and consumers urged to cooperate.
