Driver Unhurt In Backward Crash Near Route 89

Corry Woman Attacked in Washington D C

A Corry woman her mother in law and sister were assaulted and a purse snatched in an evening incident in Washington D C. The attackers fled as police arrived and the elder Mrs Tunnell was hospitalized with a fractured shoulder. Police noted rising street violence and the absence of sufficient law enforcement. The victims plan to alert AAA so warnings can be circulated. Also reported is the death of Charles R Mabey former Utah governor and Bountiful mayor at age 81.

NBC Restore TV Service After Sudden Strike

NBC regained on air operations after a strike by television engineers disrupted programming. NBC vice president Sydney Biyes said normal programming resumed at 10 a.m. Eastern. Boston Apartment Fire Displaces 110 Homeless

A blaze yesterday in Boston destroyed four three story tenement buildings and damaged others, leaving at least 110 people homeless. All occupants escaped with no serious injuries. two firefighters were seriously hurt and about 20 others suffered minor injuries. Nathen Volkman collapsed from a heart attack while watching his home burn and was hospitalized. The Red Cross called it a disaster.
