The State Fire Marshall reports a warrant issued for a young Corry boy suspected in fire setting. He has been in the city for a week conducting an investigation into several suspicious fires in the West End area, and has conferred with the district attorney.
A sixteen year old youth from the West End faces arrest on a two year old warrant sworn by Deputy State Fire Marshal FG Lovers of loa and others say he has frequented fire scenes in the west end with a known pyromaniac. District Attorney Waite reportedly linked him to several arsons, though details remain secret. Officials anticipate arrest within hours. the boy may be taken to Corry by a constable.
Unsettled weather continues tonight into Friday with probable showers. Thursday will be cooler and drier.
President Wilson orders continued war efforts despite rebel protests as national guardsmen are mobilized. First list of American Marines killed at Vera Cruz is published from San Diego. California water system patrols and increased Marine transport to Vera Cruz are reported.
Washington April 28 United Press reports say OShaughnessy and Algara received passports from Vera Cruz officials and will sail to the United States tonight or tomorrow. The dispatches note Huerta relations remain unsettled as U S demands for passports continue.
