Franklin Plant Damaged by Fire in Repair Shop
A fire at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday damaged the Union Tank Car Co repair shop between Folipse Works and the Allegheny river in Franklin. Empty tanks and the wooden repair building suffered damage but the main fireproof portion escaped unharmed. The blaze was controlled within 15 to 20 minutes after discovery by a National Transit pump operator and Eclipse station staff.

Deputy Fight Over Deputy Sheriff Salary Hearing Set
