Dunkirk Barber Fined For Gaming Raid
A Dunkirk barber Ross Russo, 56, was fined 500 dollars in Dunkirk City Court after pleading guilty to book making in a state police gambling raid. A 10 day jail sentence was suspended and 388 dollars seized were ordered to the Dunkirk Police Benevolent Association. The barber shop was under surveillance for about a month by troopers from the Fredonia barracks.

Fatal Route 31 crash claims girl and injures teen sister
A three car collision on Route 31 near Mount Pleasant Pennsylvania killed Susan Berger, 17, of White Fayette County, and seriously injured her sister Betty Ann, 18. Connie, 12, and Beulah, 39, were treated and released. The other drivers escaped injury.
