Body of Erie Youth Found In Elk Creek
Gerard Stephen Serrozo a 15 year old sophomore at Divine Word Seminary in Girard was found dead in Elk Creek near the hike site. Police theorize he slipped while crossing a fallen tree during the return from a seminary hike. Firemen and civil defense units assisted in the search after he was separated from classmates Thursday.

In a four hour session before four aldermen here yesterday attorneys wound up seven motor vehicle charges against William Silvis Jr. 17 of Corry after a 2 1 2 mile chase last September. Silvis and passenger Terry Daniels 16 of Columbus were seriously hurt when he lost control in the 800 block of East Main Street and the car was demolished. The case was the second hearing after a week’s continuance and involved claims of aldermanic jurisdiction over stop sign charges.

Boyfriend Shoots UC Husband in Family Dispute
Robert Cline, 390, of Union City, remained in good condition at Union City Memorial Hospital after surgery for a .22 slug removal from his leg. Richard McGinnett, 30, reportedly shot Cline when he returned to his wife’s residence seeking their children. McGinnett was arrested, charged with aggravated assault and battery, and released on $500 bond awaiting a preliminary hearing.

Pittsburgh youth pleads guilty to armed robbery
David Hart, 18, of the North Side pleaded guilty to armed robbery and was sentenced to 9 to 11 months in the Allegheny County Workhouse. The term runs concurrently with a 9 to 18 month sentence given Thursday to Smith for beating Emil Bednar, 53, of Baden. Two other youths also were sentenced for the beating.
