April Showers fashion show at Venture Inn aids Corry hospital
Venture Inn hosted the April Showers card party and fashion show sponsored by the Corry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The Reed Shop showcased spring styles with Gertrude White as coordinator and commentator and George Downey as pianist. Numerous models appeared, and prizes were awarded including afghan, baby items, wall sampler, and various trinkets. Proceeds fund a new nursery apparatus. In a separate note, George D. Davis was named executive director of the Wilderness Society in Washington.
