After a two year absence Mr. Anderson has returned to Coronado and is employed in the meat department of Free Bros. store on Glorietta Boulevard. Also returning from Mission Beach are Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Hills who are living on D Avenue.

Floral Group Hosts Still Life Meeting on Friday

The Coronado Floral Association Still Life Committee led by Mrs. O A Weller and co chairwoman Mrs. Marcelle Le Hardy met last Thursday. Mrs. John W Vann spoke on Still Life box preparation with an example arrangement shown by the hostess. Tea followed as discussion continued among attendees including Mrs. Le Hardy Mrs Bruce Mrs Daugherty Mrs Akers Mrs Edward Young Mrs Campanole Mrs Vann Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Harold Fick.

Scout Building Fund Drive Goes Over the Top

The Coronado Boy Scout Building Fund drive raised $2,682.72 in cash and pledges, 78 percent over quota. District captains and donors fueled the effort, with named contributors across clubs and organizations including Mrs. Bette Dean, Mrs. H. T. Wray, Mrs. P. Crittenden, er t Dillon, Louis McMicken, Mrs. M. Silverman, Mrs. Betty Bellaire, Mrs. Joseph Fannin, Mrs. Alex Spence, Preston Primm, and Walter C. Stitt, plus unallocated donations and an out of town gift.

Funeral Services Held Friday for Richard Cross

Funeral services were conducted at Bonham Brothers Mortuary in San Diego for Richard Francis Cross Sr. of 7150 Olive Avenue who died Thursday evening in Balboa Naval Hospital. He was 76, a Coralado resident since 1940, native of Elizabeth New Jersey, and served in the Spanish American War.

Amphibious Force Officers Sponsor Hard Times Party

The Amphibious Force Officers sponsor a Hard Times Party on March 19 at the Amphibious Base Commissioned Officers Mess in Coronado. Prizes will honor costumes representing Deductions or Exemptions with Charley Fitzpatrick's Band performing a buffet supper and entertaiment. Lt. W. D. Crossley Lt. Comdr. B. G. Jones and Lt. W. E.
