Coronado resident Major Nathan C. Kingbury was among 98 U. S. Marine Corps officers approved for promotion to lieutenant colonel by President Truman. A former Coronado High School student, Kingbury served in the Sixth Division in the South Pacific during World War II and is now at Camp LeJeune in the paymaster's office. His father, the late Col.
