Steam Roller Rampage Stops Itself in Maynard

In Maynard Massachusetts on September 17 a town steam roller rampaged after midnight. It left its moorings on Sudbury Street and rolled toward Central Square causing a railroad switch to be demolished. Patrolman Nicholas Driscoll alerted the danger and John Driscoll restored order, the roller returning to its anchorage by morning.

Community Grange Fair at Concord Jct Plans and Prizes

The second annual Annursnac Grange fair at Concord Junction highlighted extensive exhibits in fruit vegetables flowers and craft with 300 ribbons and cash prizes awarded by local and State Grange. Standouts included Jeramiah Sheehan's squash prize and a notable girls club canning display as volunteers organized tables and a lunch service.

In West Acton on Tuesday evening a large number of women voted in the Primaries. In a separate incident Friday evening two cars collided at the crossroads in front of Eugene Hall’s residence.
