At the Acton Fair the Romani Kennels trained police dog Von Jena will demonstrate scent work pursuit and arrests under trainer William Beyer. The dog will respond to gunfire, control suspects, and aid in evidence gathering while life saving and obedience feats are shown. Robert MacDonald 35 Dies After Prolonged Illness
Robert MacDonald of Concord Jct died early Friday at a North Reading sanitarium after a four year battle with an incurable disease. He leaves a wife, his mother, and one daughter Gertrude. Funeral from Commonwealth Avenue home featured a high Mass at Help of Christians, burial in St Bernard’s Cemetery. Rev Joseph P Mahar conducted the prayers at the grave. Bearers included A. J MacEachern Jr. and others from Worcester and Meriden.
