The Grand Annual Field Day for the James J. Mansfield Post American Legion opened Labor Day with a parade led by Headquarters Troop 110th Cavalry under Capt. Duncan. Despite thunder and rain, events proceeded, including two baseball games, a Midway, DC attractions, and an evening dance at the State Armory. Sophia Ames won a Ford in the evening prize drawing.
