A pretty double wedding took place at Mrs. Annie Betts home in Pugwash Junction on August 19 at 1 30 pm. Bertha Hazel wed Join W Hiltz of Everett Massachusetts and Celia Mae married Fred C Fairbanks of Maynard. The ceremony featured an arch of maple leaves and golden rod with flowers and gifts presented to the brides and attendants. Afterward guests enjoyed refreshments on the lawn before the couples departed for Halifax and their new homes in Everett and Maynard.
