Jean T Nelson led as chair.
The Concord Garden Club launches an extensive tree planting program at the library and depot area. Seven trees at the library cost $100 and shrubbery at the depot costs $455, with $255 funded by the club and the town covering the rest.

Concord establishes a conservation commission in 1958 and forms Concord Land Conservation Trust to protect rural character, forests, fields and water supply. The trust will promote conservation, study plants and wildlife, acquire land for public benefit, and operate without eminent domain. Similar groups exist in Lincoln and Sudbury, showing town agency and citizen collaboration can advance conservation.
The Our Lady Help of Christians CDA No 1116 held a Halloween party at its recent meeting led by Frances Mae Lan grand regent. Members wore costumes played games and enjoyed refreshments a rummage sale report was given.
