The Concord Country Club held its annual meet with good attendance. Arthur B. Brooks was elected president succeeding David Idwin who served seven years. dC Saeger was chosen vice president Ralph C Piper secretary Henry L Pratt and Hery P Kidder were named on the board of governors. Membership was increased to 380 and plans were approved to add nine holes designed by Donald Ross, with work on the low course to begin soon. Two more courts were also approved.

Daniel Coughlin 88 oldest resident of Maynard died Friday evening after weeks of illness. Born in Ireland he lived in Maynard 65 years and is survived by three sons Bartholomew and Daniel of Maynard Thomas of Malden and three daughters Mrs Albert Sylvester Miss Nellie Coughlin and Mrs Katherine Bariteau. Funeral Mass held Monday at St Bridgets Church with burial in St Bridgets Cemetery.

George B Lee, a 31? year old Public Service Corporation employee, was killed in a payroll robbery in Newark New Jersey on October 15. The community and his parents mourn his loss as his funeral, held at Help of Christians Church, honored his memory with a high mass and an escorted procession.
