Cardinal O Connell Visits Maynard For St Casmir Parish Church
His Eminence Cardinal O Connell visited Maynard on Tuesday to inspect the nearing completion St Casmir parish church on Great Road near the former power house site of the C M H railroad. He praised the parish program as Rev Fr Dziok and four Springfield diocese priests accompanying him toured the brick edifice with a 650 seat nave and 50 seat loft, two side vestries, a maple interior and a cross crowning the roof. The church is to be dedicated on Armistice Day and represents notable growth under Rev Fr Dziok.

Mrs Anne Spryck Garlick wife of Albert Garlick 28 Waltham Street Maynard died at her home. She was born in Manchester and survived by her husband two sons Clarence and John a sister Sophia Grimshaw and other relatives.
