Loomis Brothers Serve in World War Frontline Roles
Four Loomis brothers of Bedford, sons of Judge Hugo Loomis, have fought in the war for a year. Ensign Ralph Loomis, Private Hubert Loomis, Lieut Samuel Loomis, and Lieut William Fitch Loomis serve in U S Navy Reserve Flying Corps, 101st Field Artillery, 71st Artillery C A C, and 213th Aero Squadron, with distinguished records in combat and training. Their cousin Lieut Henry Sprague Loomis also serves as an aviator.
