Funeral Held for Mrs Mary Parlin in Acton
Funeral services for Mrs Mary Parlin were conducted Monday at 2 o clock by Rev Robertson of the Congregational church. Born in Carlisle in 1838, she moved to Acton with her parents at age four. Her Civil War veteran husband died in 1899, and she lived with her brother Asaph Parlin until her death. Interment was in Woodlawn cemetery. Mr and Mrs A Phaten returned home Monday from a three day auto trip to New Hampshire.

Died of Influenza in Concord Resident James Reed
James Reed, a 28 year old Concord resident, died of influenza at Deaconess Hospital on Tuesday of last week. Funeral services will be held from his late home at 6 o clock Friday morning with a requiem at St Bernard's church. He leaves a widow J Lipps Reed two children four brothers John Murray Alexander and Samuel and one sister Elizabeth. Great sympathy is extended to Mrs Reed in her loss.
