Concord writer Aver French Dies at 75
Boston native Aver French, longtime Concord resident and author, died at his home after a long illness. He was born November 28 in Boston and lived in Concord since 19. He taught English at Harvard, wrote histories of Concord and Ticonderoga, and was buried at Sleepy Hollow. The well attended funeral was held at the First Unitarian Church with Rev. Edward Perry Daniels officiating.

Edith E Buck aged 88 of 2 Pinckens Street died today in a West Concord rest home after a long illness. For over 50 years she ran a dry goods business with her sister Evelyn Buck, with whom she lived. She retired about five years ago. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
