Also installed were Fred Bylerly John Allen Harrie Nims and others.
West Concord Willow Rebe kah Lodge will hold an installation on Monday evening October 15 with supper at 6 30. The whist party by The Eight of Us on Monday October 1 yielded prizes: 1st Mrs Cora Macleod 2nd Mrs Millicent Benson 3rd Mrs Catherine Sheehan 4th Mrs Ellen Smith 5th Mrs Anne Anderson 6th Edward Lyons. Refreshments were by Mrs Esther Evans and Mrs Sior Tense Locke.
R Norman Hudspeth, Concord’s versatile artist and teacher, returns to 49 Whoreau Street with his bride Rosalie Willison whom he married in Paris. The couple continues painting landscapes in England and elsewhere.
On Wednesday October 3 a luncheon was given by her mother for eight debutante hostesses and fifty five guests from Concord. Miss Miller welcomed guests seated at tables in blue with garlands corsages and flowers awaiting them.
A new fire truck arrives supplying a 1600 gallon pump and supports water holes in districts without town water. The addition promises greatly enhanced emergency response and protection for residents and outlying areas.
Mrs Natalie Manduk of 30 Acton Street Marlboro and Cedar Budwi janak of 265 South Street Marlboro were married Sunday at St Marys Orthodox Church Prospect Street. Rev Sergius Basilevitch pastor officiated with a reception at the Russian Educational Society hall on Powder Mill Road.
A vehicle collision occurred Wednesday involving Emily Adams of 1 Queensbury Street Boston and others. The report lists Elea nor Mel of Nyala Park West Acton and Wisie Bixby, 75 Woods Massachusetts, among the party names.

Albert Batley, who moved from Bridgton to Maynard at seventeen, leaves a son Albert EB Batley and two daughters Bertha and Irene. A longtime Republican and church leader, he served in the General Court in 1910, helped install the sewerage system, and led town meetings. Funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev J Rex Shepler, with a large crowd and many flowers. Burial followed at Genwood cemetery.
About 100 participants attended a race starting from Vy's residence. The route covered 317 miles. A bird owned by Drenianka, tied to Henry Ford's Trade School in Sudbury, won first place.

A man who came to Acton four years ago resided there and worked as a crossing watchman. He was a foreman before moving to Acton and belonged to several lodges in Lowell and Maynard. The obituary notes his burial in Woodlawn cemetery with Douglass, pastor, listed among family.
Several Maynard Odd Fellows and Rebekahs attended a combined installation of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs at Acton Monday night. Attendees were urged to reserve seating as the event was scheduled for 6.30.
The Maynard Cooperators Club held a weekly whist party at United Co op building on Monday night with multiple tables in play. Prizes were awarded to Saimi Korsman Alma Walker John Hampen en Charles Manty Helen Loftus and many others. Another whist is planned for next Monday.
Miss Marie Jennifer, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jennif er, wed Joseph kowski son of Mr and Mrs Roche at two o'clock. The bride wore brown and was attended by her sister Eva Greiner. George O Leary stood beside the groom. The couple planned a wedding trip through New York after a reception at the home of the bride’s relatives with guests from Worcester and Boston.
