Réy William Batt, chaplain emeritus of the Massachusetts Reformatory, marked his 94th birthday with a family dinner at the Tavern Monument Square Center. He is among the region's oldest living graduates, born in Iver and educated at the university, serving as pastor in Stoneham Bed and Leominster.

The 76 year old Grimes died at home on Bed Street after a fall. Funeral services were conducted at St Bernard's Church with High Mass Of Requiem by Rev. Wm. Hagerty led the musical selections. Burial followed in St. D's cemetery in Burlington. He was born there and leaves a daughter Miss Mary Grimes, a son John J. Grimes, and several brothers and relatives.

Edward Quinn aged 46 of 12 Garfield street died Friday at Emerson hospital after four weeks illness. Hundreds visited the home and flowers adorned the home and services. Funeral Mass was held Monday at St Bridget's church at 9 with Rev Edward F Crowley officiating. Collision on Great Road Injures Roble Sons
A Studebaker driven by Roger Derby collides with a Ford owned by John K. Roble on Great Road near the Ben Smith bridge around 11 am Sunday. Roble and his sons Kenneth eight and Piton twelve are severely cut by flying glass. Derby and a passenger escape injury. The Ford is a total wreck. Studebaker damaged. Police report Derby swerved to miss boys who jumped onto the road, and the Ford struck as they dodged. Dr. Raymond Hooper attended the Robles.

John W. Chase a longtime proprietor of the Concord Drug Store on Mill Dam died suddenly on Monday afternoon after a morning business visit.
