Elizabeth E. Cleary dies after influenza and pneumonia
Elizabeth E. Cleary of Maynard died at home after a two week illness with influenza and pneumonia. She was 63, born in Maynard, a longtime resident, and member of St. Bridget's church. Funeral services were held Friday at 9 a.m. Interment in St. Bridget's cemetery. She leaves four brothers James Thomas Daniel and William. A letter from Private William Higgins reports wounds and says the war may end soon.
