Arthur F Lawrence died at his Maplest Street home on Friday May 13 after a three day illness. A Fitchburg and Boston and Maine railroad foreman, he lived in South Acton 19 years with his wife Winifred and four children Glatys Olin Wayne Harland. Funeral Sunday at home conducted by Rev Ralph A Barker, with IOOF and Gardner lodge members in attendance. He was born December 12 1859 in Troy New Hampshire.

Concord trio arraigned in NH theft and car crash case
A Concord woman Mrs Margaret High and two men Martin Olsen and George Hayden were arraigned before Judge Presco Keyes on charges of breaking and entering and larceny of an automobile. The stolen car crashed into a freight car at Hancock New Hampshire injuring none. The trio were bound over in 500 bail each. The car valued at 2009 was allegedly driven by Mrs High at high speed toward the White Mountains.

Concord Junction prepares for a Lawn Party on June 23 at the Union Church grounds. The Food Table is chaired by Stevenson Read Russell Conve Hatch Kennedy Edwardson Gardner with many helpers. Food, candy, grab bag, hot dogs, donuts, fancy work and aprons are organized by named volunteers. A band from Camp Devens will provide music.
