Drive Opened For Second Red Cross War Drive
The Concord armory hosted a Thursday night program to raise funds for the second 100 million drive. Boston’s Mr. Eddy spoke on the Red Cross and its aid to soldiers abroad. A bayonet drill by I Company 304th Infantry Camp Devens led by Lieut Strutsch drew applause and war pictures were shown. Canvassers will continue collecting money throughout the week to support the Red Cross.

Scouts Pass First Class Tests at Old Hole Hike

Local Red Cross Week Sees Garment Donations and Sewing Meeting
During the week ending May 18 the ward collected socks, wristers, pajamas, hospital shirts and eye dressings for the Red Cross. Twenty members met at the G A R hall on May 15. two pajama suits and two hospital shirts were finished, with many garments in progress. Members are urged to send knitting and socks before June 1.
